The Flower Farm at Garden Gate
A Maine Flower Farm
In the Spring of 2020 our family began a micro cut flower field, fulfilling a dream years in the making and bringing this 200 year old farm full circle. Guest always ask us who does all the gardening, and it is just the two of us (plus our children)! We love gardening, and have spent over half our lives tending to gardens in our previous homes. We spent the first give years on the farm expanding original gardens and adding new perennial gardens around the barn and farmhouse, and finally turned our attention to the cut flower farm.
Why begin a Flower Farm?
We were inspired to begin the Flower Farm at Haley Farm for a few reasons:
To create a beautiful spot for our couples to take wedding photos and for their guests to enjoy while they attended a wedding at the barn.
A beautiful space for our community to visit and gather for U-Picks in the Flower Field.
Become a source of local flowers for our couples to have the option of DIY Wedding Flower buckets.
To create habitat for other creatures like butterflies, bees, frogs and toads, birds, and any other creature who needs it.
Join local community and farmer’s markets to sell our flowers.
Supply flowers for our on-site bakery, Nothing Bakes Like a Parrott, for her desserts and displays.
An opportunity to be outside with our children and family and to share our love of gardening and nature with them.
And finally, to always have beautiful flowers for ourselves and for the farmhouse.

We are so excited to begin our fifth season of growing the cut flower field at the farm. Each year we learn so much, expand the field a little bit more, and look for ways to get our flowers in the hands of as many people as we can!

Sebago Community Market - Find us most Wednesdays from June - September at our local market selling flowers, candles, baked goods, and more.
Farm Rental for photography - Looking to take family photos, senior portraits, or engagement photos in a field of flowers? Rent the field (and most of the grounds!) for the perfect backdrop to your memories.
Our Flower Farm has been a joy and a labor of love. We spend all winter dreaming of flowers and count the days until we can start planting in May.
